LSU finished the first day in ninth place out of 14 at the SunTrust Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., shooting a 13-over 573 through two rounds. Junior Brent Blaum and freshman Sang Yi both posted scores of 2-over par 142. Blaum finished with a 1-over par in both of his rounds.Yi came out firing on all cylinders with six birdies and a 3-under 67 after Round 1, but finished at 2-over for the day.Sophomore Andrew Loupe finished strong in the second round with an even-par 70, finishing with a two-round total of 4-over 144.Sophomore John Peterson went 6-over 146 and freshman Josh Jones went 11-over 151.Host Florida is off to a blistering start with a 10-stroke lead at 15-under 545.
