The Valentine’s Day kiss at the Memorial Tower is scheduled for the traditional time at midnight Friday.The event was moved to 8 p.m. last year because of safety issues.It’s the University’s tradition that students are not true LSU co-eds until they share a kiss at the Memorial Tower when the bell chimes at midnight, said Katherine Cicardo, Student Government director of Student involvement.”It is important for students to continue this tradition because the traditions of LSU are what make us a truly unique University,” she said. “This tradition is a representation of those special college experiences that only happen once in your life.”—-Contact Leslie Presnall at [email protected]
