LSU sophomore cornerback Patrick Peterson said he is recovering from the flu and did not practice fully Tuesday.
“I didn’t practice that much today because I’m still kind of weak with the flu,” Peterson said. “I’m about 60 to 70 percent right now. I should practice [Wednesday] and be about 85 or 90 percent.”
Peterson will be guarding Alabama sophomore wide receiver Julio Jones in Saturday’s matchup between No. 3 Alabama and No. 9 LSU. He said freshman defensive back Craig Loston has been on the scout team giving him “a pretty good look” in preparation for the game.
“Probably tomorrow I’ll work on [junior wide receiver] Terrance [Toliver] or [senior wide receiver Brandon] LaFell,” Peterson said.
Peterson has started all eight games at cornerback for LSU this season and recorded 27 tackles, two interceptions and a fumble recovery.
