Phoebe Hathorn, finance junior, is the Nov. 18 “Eye on Excellence” student winner.

Hathorn, who maintains a 3.9 GPA, is a student in the LSU Honors College and participated in the college’s “Gateway to China” program in 2008.

Hathorn is a member of LSU Student Government and serves as chair of the Programming, Support, and Initiatives Fund. She also serves as director of finance and sits on the Student Required Fee Committee.

She is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, president of Rotaract, and also involved in Omicron Delta Kappa.

Hathorn is involved in the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church and serves as secretary of the Ministry with Young People. She is also a member of the Committee on Coordination and Accountability.

She was also on the 2009 Junior Homecoming Court.
