The LSU football team’s loss to Ole Miss on Saturday proved costly, as the Tigers have to No. 15 in the latest BCS Standings.
LSU (8-3, 4-3) also dropped from No. 10 to No. 17 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Top 25 polls.
The top three teams in both polls remained unchanged, but the two polls’ No. 2 and 3 teams differ.
Florida holds the No. 1 spot in both polls, while Alabama is No. 2 in the AP poll and No. 3 in the USA Today poll. Texas is No. 3 in the AP poll and No. 2 in the USA Today poll.
Florida, Alabama and Texas are also the top three in the BCS standings.
Ole Miss snuck back into the rankings after beating LSU, 25-23, on Saturday in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Miss. The Rebels are No. 20 in the AP poll and No. 25 in the USA Today poll.
Florida, Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss are the only Southeastern Conference teams ranked in either poll.
LSU closes its regular season Nov. 28 against Arkansas in Tiger Stadium.
