NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri will serve as grand marshal of the 2009 Natchitoches Christmas Festival Parade.
The parade is set for 1 p.m. Dec. 5 in downtown Natchitoches as part of the Christmas Festival of Lights festivities.
Mainieri led the LSU baseball team to this year’s College World Series championship.
The Alexandria Daily Town Talk reports the Festival of Lights began Saturday with the “Turn on the Holidays” event. More than 300,000 lights and 70 lighted set pieces illuminate Cane River Lake.
