The Student Activities Board will present “I Didn’t Cry,” a dramatic play by Sergia Perez, in the Cotillion Ballroom of the Student Union at 7 p.m., today and Thursday.
Perez portrays the true story of her 14-year-old Latina sister, Santa, as she falls in love with an older man and through a series of life choices, love, drugs, pregnancy, abuse and AIDS.
Seeking to address issues facing young woman today, Perez hopes to transform, inspire and encourage healing through the true life story of her sister, according to SAB’s Web site.
A Spanish presentation of the play will be held today with an English translation Thursday.
“I Didn’t Cry” is free and open to the public.
