NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Fresh off a win against the New York Jets, Saints quarterback Drew Brees used his down time to talk about the success he’s had on and off the field with a group of workers in the city’s hospitality industry.
Brees surprised employees at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel with a pep talk this week on his key to success as starting quarterback for the undefeated Saints. He said he’s had his share of disappointments, but he’s learned to accept when things don’t turn out as planned.
Brees drew a round of applause when he talked about his love for New Orleans, saying that the city is unlike any other place in the world.
After a bye this weekend, the Saints take on the New York Giants Oct. 18 in the Louisiana Superdome.
