The No. 4 LSU women’s golf team moved up to ninth place Saturday at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship in Knoxville, Tenn. after firing a 13-over 301 in the second round.
The Lady Tigers, who started the day in tenth place, have an overall score of 31-over 607 for the tournament, leaving them 33 shots off the lead entering Sunday’s final round.
Host Tennessee leads the field with a 2-under 574.
Juniors Lindy LaBauve and Abby Oberthier who are substitutes for junior All-American Megan McChrystal (virus) and sophomore Tessa Teachman (flu), led LSU with scores of 1-over 73 and 2-over 74, respectively.
The final round will conclude Sunday morning at 8 p.m.
