The preseason expectations for the LSU women’s basketball team continued to build on Thursday as the Lady Tigers were picked by Southeastern Conference coaches to finish No. 2 in the SEC.
The Lady Tigers trailed the coaches’ conference champion Tennessee by one point.
Senior guard Allison Hightower was named the preseason SEC Player of the Year. Hightower pulled in nine of a possible 12 points for the award.
Joining Hightower on the all-SEC preseason first team is sophomore forward LaSondra Barrett.
