LSU senior offensive tackle Ciron Black left Saturday’s game against Auburn with a hand injury, LSU coach Les Miles said Monday.
Miles said the injury is painful for Black but his hand is not broken.
“Ciron sprained a ligament in between his third finger and fourth finger … metacarpal something or other,” Miles said. “It’s not broken, but it’s definitely an owie. We’ll put some ice on it and a Band-Aid, and knowing him, it won’t bother him much.”
Miles said he was pleased with the play of the offensive line Saturday, even with some position shuffles.
“Our offensive line moved around a little bit based on a nick or two, not really based on performance,” Miles said. “[Sophomore offensive guard] Will Blackwell went in there at left guard for the first time, and we moved [sophomore offensive guard] Josh Dworaczyk around. They played well with the change in the mix.”
LSU will face Tulane this Saturday at 7 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.
