The University will host the kickoff for Louisiana Economic Development’s new business strategy, Blue Ocean, on Oct. 15 in Pleasant Hall.
“What is Blue Ocean Strategy and How to Make it Work for You” opens an initiative to introduce the business metaphor, which purports to help organizations identify market space uncontested by other competitors and to heighten a business’s presence there, according to a news release.
Blue Ocean supposedly offers businesses an edge with unique, low-cost and in-demand solutions and makes competition “irrelevant.” The strategy applies to government agencies, for-profit and not-for-profit businesses, according to the release.
The workshop costs $350 per person and is a partnership between Continuing Education and LSU Executive Education, which is housed in the Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute.
