Chantelle George, biological sciences senior, is the Oct. 29 “Eye on Excellence” student winner.

George is the executive director of Student Government, pro-Israel student activist for the American Irael Public Affairs Committee and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

George is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, LSU Ambssadors and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee.

She is also a volunteer with the Louisiana Public Health Department, Relay for Life, Battered Women’s Shelter, Susan G. Komen Walk, Up til Dawn, Habitat for Humanity and Tiger Day.

George is a National Coca Cola Scholar, Residential Scholar, SSTEM Scholar and a Ben and Clare Thibodeaux Scholar. She is also a reciepient of the Black Scholars Award and Order of Omega.
