BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Gov. Bobby Jindal has lost his chief of boards and commissions to U.S. Rep. Bill Cassidy.
James Quinn has taken over the job of chief of staff for Cassidy, a Republican congressman from Baton Rouge.
In his job for the Jindal administration, Quinn vetted the governor’s candidates for the hundreds of positions on state boards and commissions. Before that, Quinn had been executive director of the Louisiana Republican Party.
Quinn replaces Josh Robinson in Cassidy’s office. A spokesman for the congressman says Robinson left to run Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst’s re-election campaign.
Jindal press secretary Kyle Plotkin says the governor has not chosen a replacement for Quinn.
