The Student Government Senate Academics Committee will debate instructors factoring students’ Moodle access frequency in their class participation grade.
Teachers can determine how much a student accesses Moodle and how many times a student views a particular document, said Sen. Aaron Caffarel, University Center for Freshman Year and co-author of the bill.
“I don’t feel like that should be a part of a student’s grade,” Caffarel said. “Students are already penalized by not being fully prepared for class if they haven’t done what they are supposed to do. Moodle access should not be participation.”
