The East Baton Rouge Parish Metropolitan Council will vote on the $900 million bond — $225 million which would fund Alive — at its meeting today at 4 p.m. Alive is a proposed plan for an education, research and entertainment complex which would incorporate the Mississippi River and Louisiana’s hurricane research, while increasing tourism in the city.Pending the approval of the Metro Council, the voters of East Baton Rouge Parish will have the opportunity to cast a ballot for the bond. —-Contact Lindsey Meaux at [email protected]
