RUSTON, La. (AP) — Louisiana Tech football coach Derek Dooley says former LSU wide receiver Tim Molton has transferred to Tech, enrolled in classes and has joined the football team.
Molton, a former Destrehan High School star, joins the Tech program after spending one year at LSU. Molton redshirted the 2008 season for the Tigers. Because of NCAA transfer rules, Molton is required to sit out the 2009 season but will be eligible to play for three seasons beginning in 2010.
Molton suffered a major knee injury during a seven-on-seven LSU offseason workout in June and was slated to spend this season rehabilitating.
