LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Thousands of Hollywood hopefuls flocked to the Cajundome for an open casting call for the Disney film “Secretariat.”
Armed with headshots and questionnaires, people young and old of all sizes and ethnicity waited in line for sometimes three or more hours Sunday to speak with a casting director.
The movie will be filmed at the old Evangeline Downs racetrack in Carencro.
Casting director and owner of BAM Casting La Brinkley Magginis told The Advertiser of Lafayette it was the largest open casting call she has ever seen.
Magginis’ company works exclusively with movies filmed in Louisiana.
