Student Government discussed Moodle, Tiger Trails, new legislation regarding recycling and text book taxes at the Senate Meeting Wednesday night.
Andy Palermo, Senator from the University Center for Advising and Counseling, proposed that Moodle maintenance would be from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
Also, the Tiger Trails gold route will no longer stop in front of the Union. The buses will go down Dalrymple Drive to West Lakeshore Drive.
Jordan Milazzo, SG executive director of Campus Development, also said a proposal to change the two bus routes that go through Tigerland would be ineffective.
The proposal suggested that one of the buses that goes through Tigerland would instead go down Burbank.
Francis Boustany, Director of Organizational Outreach, said SG wants to take a step in the green direction.
“We want to make the Department of Campus Sustainability its own department as opposed to a branch,” he said.
Currently, sustainability is a branch under Campus Development. The Department of Campus Sustainability would promote recycling on campus.
Greg Upton, Chief Economic Advisor, said he is working on the removal of sales tax on text books.
