Indians will abandon ancestral home in La. swamps

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — After 170 years fishing and crabbing in the swamps of south Louisiana, the Isle de de Jean Charles Band of Boloxi-Chitimacha-Choctow has decided to move away from its ancestral island home and start a new life as a community behind levees.
