After the daily tolling of the alma mater at noon, the sound of a conch was heard across the Quad, signaling the start of a flashmob dance.
About 60 students participated in the flashmob, which was organized through a Facebook event. Students plugged in their earbuds and danced to their own music for two minutes.
“My favorite part was getting to see people I don’t even know dancing all over the Quad,” said Jonathan House, architecture sophomore and one of the creators of the flashmob. “I’d say any event where you can go dance randomly in front a group of people is a success.”
Students danced across the Quad, and after the two minute mark the conch was blown again, ending the flashmob.
