The LSU soccer team announced today that they will promote breast cancer awareness in their Sept. 11 game against Oklahoma.
Proceeds from the game will go to the Susan G. Komen foundation, which assists in the hunt to find a cure for breast cancer.
The Tigers will wear pink jerseys and the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a pink LSU pom-pom.
“We are looking forward to a great event and having the opportunity to partner with the Susan G. Komen Foundation for ‘Heads Up for the Cure,'” LSU soccer coach Brian Lee said in a news release. “It’s an event that will benefit a very worthy cause, and we invite all of our fans to not only come out and support the team, but also help us in the fight against breast cancer. It will be a truly special night for our program.”
