LSU senior linebacker Jacob Cutrera worked out in pads but did not return to practice with an undisclosed hand injury as the Tigers played their final scrimmage Tuesday.LSU coach Les Miles said he expects Cutrera to be back on the field by Thursday.”It’s just smart to hold him out,” Miles said. “He’s a veteran and doesn’t necessarily need the work.”Senior tight end Richard Dickson was also out.”[Dickson] could have gone today,” Miles said. “If it would have been a game, he would have gone. There’s not going to be any questions of what we expect from him in his return. We expect Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.”On the offensive side, Miles said freshman quarterback Russell Shepard played with both the first and second teams in the scrimmage, completing 3-of-4 passes for 73 yards and rushing six times for 60 yards.
