The University’s comprehesive fundraising campaign — Forever LSU — has raised more than $611 million in private donations, including cash, pledges, in-kind gifts and planned giving, according to a University campaign update. These gifts generated an additional $32 million in state-matching funds, bringing the total to $643 as of June 30.
The latest round of donations has Forever LSU just $107 million short of its goal to raise $750 million by 2010 — the University’s 150th anniversary.
The campaign consists of funds raised by the three private foundations aiding the University, LSU Foundation, LSU Alumni Association and the Tiger Athletic Foundation, and supports four major areas — students, faculty, University programs and campus infrastructure.
Forever LSU launched publicly in June 2006.
