LSU junior defensive lineman Ricky Jean-Francois will enter the NFL draft, ESPN’s Joe Schad reported Thursday.
Jean-Francois finished with 18 tackles and two sacks on the season.
He played in only two games in 2007 but made a name for himself with a Defensive Most Valuable Player performance in the 2008 Bowl Championship Series National Championship Game with a blocked kick, six tackles and half a sack.
He also garnered negative attention when he told the Orlando Sentinel in October he would “take out” on Florida quarterback Tim Tebow if given a good chance.
No official announcement has been made by the University on Jean-Francois’ decision.
