Bastrop wide receiver Rueben Randle announced he will make his college choice on National Signing Day, according to Ken Trahan, president and general manager of Neworleanssports.com
Trahan said the No. 2 Rivals.com recruit is expected to choose between LSU and Alabama.
Barbe defensive back Janzen Jackson is again surrounded by a cloud of uncertainty. Trahan said Alabama is strongly recruiting the Rivals four-star player.
Jackson has been a verbal commitment to the Tigers since Feb. 23, 2008, and his commitment came into question when his father, Lance Guidry, was reported to be a candidate for a coaching job at Tennessee. Guidry eventually turned down the offer.Rivals four-star defensive end Ed Stinson committed to Alabama on Friday after narrowing his choices down to the Tigers and the Crimson Tide.Running back Trent Richardson is verbally committed to Alabama but is still considering LSU and Florida, according to Trahan.Rivals four-star wide receiver Kendall Kelly has not decided among Alabama, Clemson and LSU.After coming to LSU this past weekend, linebacker Barkevious Mingo is visiting Connecticut for his last visit before National Signing Day. Linebacker Tahj Jones out of Sulphur has cancelled his visit to Texas Christian University.
