Four players who will be true freshmen for the LSU football team in 2009 as well as a junior college transfer have enrolled in school and began taking classes on Monday, head coach Les Miles confirmed.All five of the players will take part in spring practice which begins in March.The four true freshmen who started their college career on Monday include: quarterback Russell Shepard from Cypress Ridge in Houston, linebacker Kevin Minter from Peachtree Ridge in Suwanee, Ga., quarterback Chris Garrett from Tupelo, Miss., and running back Drayton Calhoun from Tucker, Ga. Derek Helton, a kicker from Fort Scott (Kan.) Community College, also enrolled.
