A small fire in the concourse level of the PMAC was contained and extinguished by members of the LSU Police Department at approximately 9 a.m.Maj. Lawrence Rabalais, LSPD spokesman, said contractors were cutting pipe in the PMAC’s lower level when heat from a soldering tool traveled through a pipe, igniting a broom leaning against the pipe.The fire was put out before the fire department arrived.
