Masik Collegiate Fragrances, headquartered in Harrisburg, Pa., created a new fragrance line to connect with one’s memorable college experience.Masik is launching a LSU fragrance that will be available online, in the student bookstore and at local retailers near campus in April. Masik is also working on fragrances for the University of Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia and Auburn – each school having its own “signature scent.”After college ends, the experiences are relived through memories, Kate Masich, CEO and president of Masik Collegiate Fragrances said.Of the five senses, only one’s sense of smell is linked directly to the brain’s limbic system, or emotional control center.Masich conducted campus visits and spoke with students and alumni to get inspiration for each school’s signature scent.
