For the first time since January 4th the LSU basketball team won a game. LSU defeated Tennessee by a final score of 92-82 ending a historic 15 game losing streak.
Sophomore guard Brandon Sampson had a career night going 6-10 from the field and 11-12 from the free throw line. He finished the night with 24 points. Junior guard Jalyn Patterson also had a career night scoring 22 points and going 8-12 on field goals. Juniors Duop Reath and Aaron Epps each scored 10 points for the Tigers.
It was also the last home game for seniors Brandon Eddlestone and Brian Bridgewater, both of whom started the game for LSU.
With the win tonight the Tigers are now 10-19 overall and 2-15 in SEC play.
LSU finishes the season on Saturday March 4th at Mississippi State. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
