Students packed the Union Wednesday in a display of their excitement for the announcement of Will Wade as the new men’s basketball coach. 
After a disappointing season for the Tigers, Wade hopes to turn around the team’s fortunes.
Students say that the season holds promise and that recruiting new players should help improve the team’s defense. 
Many students said that a new direction is needed for the team and that Coach Wade shows a lot of potential.
Students will have to wait and see how the upcoming season will be for LSU.
