Just ten days after Johnny Jones was fired, LSU announced that Will Wade will become the next LSU men’s basketball head coach.
LSU football head coach Ed Ogeron had some kind words for the new coach.
“I would like to congratulate Will Wade, our new basketball coach,” Ogeron said. “On behalf of our coaching staff and our football team, I wanna give him a warm welcome.”
Ogeron also assured Wade that he’ll be in good company once he lands in Baton Rouge.
“This is one of the greatest places to coach in the country,” Ogeron said. “I’m sure he’s gonna enjoy it.”
Will Wade will officially be introduced as head coach on Thursday at 12 in the LSU Student Union. The conference is free to the public and students are urged to attend.
