Former LSU quarterback Brandon Harris announced his intent to transfer to North Carolina on Sunday.
“I’m fully committed to UNC this upcoming year and I look forward to the opportunity to play for coach Fedora and UNC,” Harris said in a post on Facebook.
Harris also reportedly considered the University of Texas.
Harris came to LSU as an early-enrollee and was the No. 3 ranked dual-threat quarterback in the 2014 class.
Harris started 15 games in his career, throwing for 2,745 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Harris intends to graduate in June and will be eligible to play immediately.
He will compete junior quarterback Nathan Elliott at UNC for the starting job, which was vacated by Mitch Trubisky, a potential first round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
