Local burger restaurant Curbside is getting a lot of love from the Baton Rouge community after opening a new store in mid-town.
Curbside Manager Corey Smith says that the neighborhood has been very receptive of the new building , and that the transition from food truck has been very successful.
Smith says that “the neighborhood has been great and they supported us from the moment our doors opened to today.”
It’s not surprising that small restaurants like Curbside are doing well, as according to Quick Service Magazine, Baton Rouge is one of the top 15 cites in the U.S. for small restaurants like Curbside.
Smith says that a community like Baton Rouge enjoys good food and that their journey from food truck to brick and mortar has been incredibly successful.
“Small little restaurants like this are kind of taking over Government Street, and Mid-City and they all seem to be thriving.”
For now though, Smith is just happy that Curbside is a part of the community, and says that the future of Curbside is looking bright.
