Senior quarterback Danny Etling underwent minor back surgery Monday morning, LSU confirmed through a statement.
“Danny had a minor back procedure this morning and everything went alright,” said coach Ed Orgeron.
A report from the Advocate said Etling has been battling back pain “for several months.”
Etling, who was 4-for-11 for 53 yards in LSU’s spring game on Saturday, threw for 2,123 yards and 11 touchdowns last season, and a 59.5 completion percentage.
