The Lady Tigers were looking for revenge after losing to Penn State on Friday, and if revenge is a dish best served cold, then the Ladies should pull it out of the freezer because that’s just what they got.
They ran up the score on the Lions, defeating them 14-1.
“We came in with some, I don’t know how’d you say it, blood in our veins and we really wanted to come back and put on a good performance,” senior Bailey Landry said.
“I think our team wanted to send a message about yesterday,” Head Softball Coach Beth Torina said.
Pitcher Allie Walljasper was dominant on the mound, allowing only one run on three hits. But it wasn’t as nice for the Nittany Lions; Three Penn State pitchers gave up eight runs in the third inning alone.
“Everybody that we asked to play today stepped up, you know hopefully that was a good answer back for what happened yesterday.
Senior Bailey Jordan looked impressive as well, going 3-4 with an RBI.
“I definitely improved in the second game,” Landry said. “In the second game I was hitting it right at people so I made some adjustments and got it in the second game.”
The Lady Tigers are going to be back on the field Sunday when they take on Oklahoma State.
