Last Friday senior Greg Deichmann was hit in the face with a pitch. His appearance in the first game was uncertain until Thursday when the doctors cleared him to play.
“First of all, it kinda shocked me,” Deichmann. “Never really got hit in the face with a ball.”
“The pain kinda hit me and I dropped, threw my helmet off and immediately felt it in my jaw. I never really in my cheek,” said Diechmann. 
He didn’t really know what had happened and went to the training room. There was a dent in the side of his face because the bone caved in.
