LSU will have to wait one more day to open the 2017 season.
Friday night’s game against Air Force was rained out and now the Tigers will play doubleheader against Army at Noon and again at 4 p.m.
Both games will only be seven innings.
The Tigers will make up their game against Air Force on Sunday at 1 p.m. and the game will nine innings as previously scheduled.
LSU is asking fans to use tickets from game one for entry into the Tigers Noon contest against Army and use game two tickets for the 4 p.m. game.
LSU was celebrating “Military Appreciation” weekend at Alex Box Stadium, allowing Air Force and Army to square off earlier in the day.
Rain started to come down around 5 p.m. leading up to originally scheduled first pitch of 7 p.m. and continued on into the rest of the evening.
