LSU Junior Linebacker Donnie Alexander can be considered a two-sport athlete.
But you won’t see him running track or out on the baseball field anytime soon. Instead, he’s going to be in the bowling alley practicing the sport he’s played since he was 7 years old.
Bowling run’s deep in Alexander’s family. His grandmother Cheryl first introduced him to the game. His brother D’Jon, sister DonQuelle and cousin Samekey are also competitive bowlers in the alley.
Alexander said his mentality stays the same when he laces up his cleats and ties his bowling shoes.
“I don’t like to lose,” Alexander said.
Alexander expects to show off his skills to the entire football team this summer. Every summer the team has a bowling tournament. He said he expects to win.
“It’s going to be a big competition,” Alexander said.
Alexander said his biggest competitor was Jamal Adams, who is no longer on the team.
