This week’s episode of “How to Get Away with Murder” was eventful.
STARS: 4.5/5
Wes’s body is still undiscovered, and Laurel is getting restless trying to find out where and who murdered him.
She hired a private investigator and found that the Mahoney’s ran a DNA test on Wes five days before he was murdered, which she thought was the cause of his death.
In front of everyone, Annalise tells Laurel to stay away from the Mahoney’s because they were behind the car accident years ago. She is furious, and yells “These people will hurt all of us. I was pregnant, eight months, and they murdered my baby.”
Everyone instantly felt sorry for Annalise except Laurel, who woudn’t stop until she finds Wes’ killer.
Connor, however, doesn’t show sympathy for Annalise. His rash behavior made Asher think he’s the leak.
When it comes to assistant district attorney Atwood, Annalise is not afraid to back down. She writes to the attorney general seeking a grand jury investigation into the conspiracy against her, but was turned down.
In retaliation, she instructs Oliver to leak an article claiming that Atwood lost Wes’ body and that she has something against Annalise.
We find out that the University President has been working with the district attorney in an attempt to bring Annalise down. In return, she was promised assistance in regaining custody of her children. Annalise puts the pieces together and questions her about it.
Meanwhile, Frank finally gets his day in court and is able to represent himself. He asks the judge to subpoena all of ADA Atwood’s texts, phone calls and emails on the day Wes’ body was transferred.
At first, the judge was hesitant but Frank asks, “What about the Sixth Amendment? Not to mention they’ve got tons of conflict of interest,” since she slept with Nate and his name was on the papers, leading the judge to comply.
At the end of the episode, we find out that Connor was at Annalise’s house the night of the fire and gave Wes CPR. It made me think he had something to do with the murder.
Though I am a huge fan of this show, I wish it wasn’t dragged out as much. As soon as we find out the answer to one of our questions, we end up having 10 more unanswered questions. For example: Are Nate and Annalise dating? Are Bonnie and Frank together? Is Laurel still pregnant? Is Wes really dead? Where is his body? And most importantly, when will they finally fire ADA Atwood?
This Thursday, Feb. 24, is the two-hour season finale, and hopefully all of our questions get answered.
