For the second straight game, LSU squandered a second half lead, after losing 96-76, to Ole Miss on Tuesday night.
The Tigers losing streak now sits at 12 games, just two games from tying the school record for consecutive losses in a season.
LSU (9-16, 1-12 Southeastern Conference) got off to an early lead thanks to sophomore guard Antonio Blakeney and freshman guard Skylar Mays who scored the first 20 points of the game for the Tigers.
LSU shot 55 percent from the field and scored a first half season high 47 points to take a three point lead at the break.
LSU came out of the second half pushing the ball up the floor starting the half on a 8-0 run. The Tigers led by as much as 11 but Ole Miss was able to rally.
Ole Miss dominated from the 16:25 mark in the second half as they held the Tigers without a field goal for the final five minutes of the game going on a 19-1 run to close LSU out.
Defensively, LSU was able to capitalize off the Rebels mishaps scoring 22 points off 11 turnovers.
Blakeney got off to an electric start scoring 22 first half points and finishing with 29 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field, but did not score in the final 13 minutes of the game. Mays poured in 19 points.
For Ole Miss, Terence Davis led all scorers with 33 points.
LSU will attempt to break its losing streak on Saturday, when the Tigers travel to face Alabama on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
