LSU finished with a total score of 197.7, falling to No. 1-ranked Oklahoma, who scored a season-high 198.350, but earned second place ahead of No. 10 Georgia and No. 15 Mizzou.
This is the 15th meet in a row that LSU (8-1, 7-0 Southeastern Conference) has posted a 197.7, marking a school record.
The Tigers started the meet on vault scoring a total of 49.375, respectively.
Junior all-arounder Myia Hambrick scored a 9.80, while freshman all-arounder Kennedi Edney scored a 9.90. Senior Ashleigh Gnat anchored with a score of 9.95, respectively.
On bars, Edney delivered a 9.90, the highest score on bars for the Tigers tonight.
Freshman and former 2016 Olympian Ruby Harrold scored a 9.60, which was her lowest this season.
Overall, LSU finished with a score of 49.300.
LSU came back in the third rotation, posting a total score on beam of 49.575. Junior Erin Macadaeg started off with a score of 9.90 on beam.
However, during Hambrick’s beam routine, she fell and scored a 9.175. Edney followed Hambrick with a 9.925 on beam, making that her third score of a 9.90 or better.
Gnat also scored a 9.925, and sophomore Sarah Finnegan posted a 9.950, which tied with Oklahoma’s Maggie Nichols and Stefani Catour.
On floor, Gnat scored a 9.975 tying with Nichols for the individual floor title. Zamardi and sophomore McKenna Kelley scored a 9.90. Ewing posted a 9.850 and Edney posted a 9.825. Hambrick struggled on floor scoring a 9.20, respectively.
Edney posted a total all-around score of a 39.550, tying her in third with University of Georgia’s Rachel Dickson.
LSU will have a quick turnaround, with another meet on Sunday against George Washington and Iowa at 2:30 p.m. in the PMAC.
