Former University student Andrew Easterly pleaded guilty to transporting child pornography Tuesday, according to United States Attorney Corey Amundson.
Easterly was arrested Oct. 29, 2015, on several child pornography-related charges. An investigation by the state Office of the Attorney General found evidence Easterly was filming female students showering in Herget Hall.
According to The Daily Reveille’s original report, Easterly gave two juvenile females drinks after an LSU football game Sept. 19, 2015. Surveillance footage showed Easterly following the girls to the showers from his dorm.
He was charged with two counts of attempted production of child pornography, 12 counts of possession of child pornography under the age of 13, 11 counts of possession of child pornography and two counts both of indecent behavior with a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, according to The Daily Reveille’s original report.
Easterly faces a “significant period of imprisonment” when sentenced March 29, according to the press release.
