BATON ROUGE- Three people were injured Friday morning after an electrical box exploded causing a fire outside LSU’s Law school.
Officials received a call around 9:04 a.m. and the building was evacuated immediately. The three injured are LSU facilities employee Ray Jackson, and two subcontractors.
According to LSU Media Relations, all three are being transferred to Baton Rouge General Hospital for treatment at their burn unit.
The LSU Law School will be closed for the day as the investigation continues.
Officials cut power to the law center to prevent further damage, which means the East Campus Apartments and the churches along Highland Road are also without power.
Highland road is closed between Raphael Semmes and Dalrymple.
Tiger TV will continue to update the story as it develops.
