LSUPD closed its investigation into a “peeping tom”case after finding the man in question was an LSUPD officer conducting a routine police work according to LSU Media Relations Director Ernie Ballard.
A police report was filed Sept. 24 by a person who said a man was leaning over the railing on the fourth floor of the LSU Parking Garage and appeared to watch for a short period of time.
Ballard said surveillance footage was reviewed by LSUPD as well as LSU Human Resources, which conducted its own investigation. Both found the officer in question was inspecting each floor of the garage, routine police work.
The case has been closed and the complainant has been informed of the findings according to Ballard.
