Freshman middle blocker Taylor Bannister earned the SEC Freshman of the Week honor for a second time this year.
Bannister is the only freshman on LSU’s team to receive the award, let alone the only one to win it multiple times. Bannister also won the award back on Sept. 11.
In LSU’s last two outings against Mississippi State and Arkansas, she led the Tigers in kills with 13 kills on Friday and 22 kills on Sunday. A total of 35 kills led all LSU players on the weekend.
The Missouri City, TX native also holds the leading average of kills on the team with a percentage of 4.38.
