A small fire led to a big mess at an off campus apartment complex known as The University House, on the corner of West Chimes Street and Cypress Drive.

The fire damaged the kitchen in an apartment on the fourth floor and apartments below it instantly became flooded. Water was dripping from light fixtures and air vents. Some of the apartments even received power and light outages due to the flooding.

The water was believed to have started from overflow of sprinklers that stopped the fire.  

No one was reportedly hurt from the fire.
