Mike VII is moved in and acquainted with Baton Rouge now, and he is enjoying impressive new upgrades to his habitat. Rick Perry of Tiger Athletic Foundation says the three largest renovations are the water purification system, the tree feature and the comfort rock.
“We put in a new purification system that actually will save a great deal of money as time goes on but also made it easier to care for the facility and keep it as clean as possible,” Perry said.
Beyond the water purification system, a new tree feature was placed in the middle. However, the tree’s main purpose is not derived from its aesthetic value. Wires run inside the tree and allow LED lighting to be utilized.
The most talked about habitat enhancement is the new comfort rock, the temperature of which can be controlled to accommodate the heat and the cold, if need be. Besides this innovative feature, those behind its installation believe the rock will become a popular perch for Mike VII.
Along with these three major additions, the habitat was cleaned up and all of its affixings were restored to their supreme grandeur.
“Plus it was a chance to go in and redo some of the plantings and all in there, and fix up some other little things,” Perry said.
Mike VII is indoor for pool maintenance this week (10/4) but will return to his immaculate dwelling next week.
