Friday, October 27
2017 Zombie Pub Crawl
Location: Bar 102
Time: 6 p.m.
Cost: $15
Attendees must be at least 21 years old and dressed as a zombie to participate in this downtown bar crawl. The event starts at Bar 102, where zombie make-up applications will be offered until 7 p.m. Each location participating will offer a drink special just for zombies. The best male and female zombie will receive a prize.
Psycho: Dinner and a Movie
Location: Manship Theatre
Time: 8 p.m.
Cost: $6.50 for movie only, $33.50 for dinner and a movie
Watch this Alfred Hitchcock classic with a three course dinner option from Capital City Grill’s special “Psycho” menu.
Seaux LA’s Costumes and Tunes Party
Location: Kerry Beary’s Atomic Pop Shop
Time: 8:30 p.m.
Cost: $8
The event will feature performances from Loudness War, Neon Mountain, Sorry Ghost and Trashlight. All ages are welcome, and prizes will be awarded to the best costumes.
37th Annual Halloween Party
Location: The Texas Club
Time: 8:30 p.m.
Cost: $10
Dress up and head down to The Texas Club for Baton Rouge’s No. 1 indoor Halloween party. Prizes will be awarded to all who enter the costume contest.
’80s Night Dance Party Halloween Ball
Location: Spanish Moon
Time: 9 p.m.
Cost: $10
DJs Ze Idolist and Gosh Zilla are joined by the “spook-tacular” singers of the supernatural Circa Amore to bring ‘80s tunes to life. Costumes are highly encouraged, and prizes will be awarded.
Boos and Brews Halloween Party
Location: The Pelican House Tap Room & Whiskey Bar
Time: 10 p.m.
For the fourth year in a row, The Pelican House will host a DJ, offer spooky drink specials and give prizes to winners of its costume contest.
Saturday, October 28
7th Annual Baton Rouge Halloween Parade
Location: 100 Third St
Time: 2 p.m.
Don’t miss this parade rolling through downtown Baton Rouge as the main event of the Fifolet Halloween Festival. The theme is “music through the ages.” The several krewes and bands in the parade are sure to bring this theme to life in a fun event for all ages.
Mid City Makers Market: The Halloween Edition
Location: 541 South Eugene Street
Time: 4 p.m.
Spooky fall shopping awaits at this weekend’s Mid City Makers Market. More than 80 vendors will be in attendance selling local art, food and drinks, along with a performance from local group Mayhaps. Trick or treating is available for children.
Zombie 5k Fun Run
Location: Forest Community Park
Time: 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Run to stay alive! Participants will have to make it to the finish line while avoiding the undead trying to take your “life.” Register before the event at brec.org/ZombieRun
Night Maze and Bonfire
Location: LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens
Time: 6 p.m.
Cost: $10
Enjoy the classic corn maze by the light of the bonfire to ring in the Halloween weekend. Corndogs, s’mores, glow-in-the-dark bowling and live music are also a part of this annual event.
Resurrection II
Location: The Station Sports Bar and Grill
Time: 7 p.m.
Cost: $20
Baton Rouge’s biggest Halloween block party is back. Musical lineup includes The 17th Floor and Flow Tribe. The costume contest will be offering more than $1,000 in prizes, so dress to impress.
2017 Spookfest
Location: 611 Mouton St
Time: 8:30 p.m.
Cost: Admission is free
Come out for a Halloween party featuring performances by local bands Hydra Plane and Wumbo.
Bootywerk Halloween Asstravaganza 3
Location: Spanish Moon
Time: 9 p.m.
Cost: $7-10
Hosted by Booty Werk Entertainment, the third annual Asstravaganza will run until 2 a.m. Costumes are encouraged, and prizes will be given to the winners of the contest.
Halloween Dance Party and Costume Contest
Location: The Radio Bar
Time: 10 p.m.
DJ Matsy will be spinning spooky tracks, and the top three most “frightening and hilarious” costumes will be awarded prizes.
Annual Halloween Party
Location: Boudreaux and Thibodeaux’s
Time: 10 p.m.
Head downtown for this annual Halloween blowout featuring giveaways and prizes. Band True Spin will also take the stage. Costumes are encouraged.
Tuesday, October 31
Terror Tuesdays at the Tech Park
Location: Louisiana Technology Park
Time: 6 p.m.
“A Nightmare on Elm Street” and “Halloween” will be playing on the best night to watch these scary classics. Costumes are welcomed, and popcorn, pizza, fall-themed beers and spiked punch will be served. Registration is free, but required to attend.
Annual Spanish Moon Halloween
Location: The Spanish Moon
Time: 8 p.m.
Cost: $10
Celebrate Halloween at The Spanish Moon with performances from Captain Green, Lemon Stevies and Radioactive. There will also be a costume contest with a cash prize.
