Twenty-four students were relocated in Edmund Kirby Smith Hall temporarily following a failed flush valve in a bathroom on Wednesday, resulting in water in some rooms of the west wing of the building, according to LSU Media Relations Director Ernie Ballard.
The students affected on the seventh floor were relocated to the eleventh floor of the building. Staff responded and cleaned up the water. A professional vendor was contacted Wednesday night to dry out the affected rooms, according to Ballard.
Ballard said the rooms should take one more night to dry out, and then the students will be moved back in.
